Carlie Shepard, LPCA
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support can feel like a challenging first step. I strive to create a warm, safe, and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. I work with individuals across the lifespan and take a person-centered approach, believing that therapy should be tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals. Together, we can collaborate to better understand the challenges you are facing, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change that feels authentic to you.
I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, academic challenges, trauma, and transitional stress. Whether you are navigating a difficult season of life, coping with overwhelming emotions, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process.
My background includes working in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings, which has helped me develop a diverse skill set as a counselor and strengthened my ability to work with individuals across the lifespan. I value meeting each client where they are and creating an environment that fosters healing, growth, resilience, and self-compassion. You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey.
Carlie is in-network with most Aetna, Husky, Cigna, and Anthem plans. She offers individual therapy in-person at the South Windsor office and via telehealth.
Carlie is supervised by Megan Rock, LCSW.
