James Kratzke, LMSW

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who works with children (8+), teens, adults, and couples. I am passionate about helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ related experiences.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure things out on your own. That voice in your head that tells you you’re stuck or not good enough? We can work through that together. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

My approach is insight-oriented and collaborative. I use psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns, and build tools that actually work in your daily life. Whether we are exploring past experiences or focusing on present challenges, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

I believe therapy should be tailored to you—your goals, your pace, and your story.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy history, politics, music, dancing, and video games, which often help me connect with clients and bring a sense of authenticity and balance to my work.

James is in-network with most Aetna, Husky, Cigna, and Anthem plans. He offers individual therapy in-person at the South Windsor office and via telehealth.

James is supervised by Megan Rock, LCSW.
