Mareisa Aguirre, LPC-A
Finding a balance in life can be difficult. You may find yourself trying to juggle all of your day-today responsibilities, without noticing that you have been putting your own needs on the back burner. Taking the time to just exist can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. Exploring these parts of yourself can feel scary, even painful, but that is what makes working through your concerns with it.
I would love to partner with you in creating boundaries, to carve some joy back into your own life.
I offer person-centered counseling services, where the focus is on building a connection based on authenticity and understanding so that we can find hope and give ourselves grace. This is a no judgement zone! I am a dedicated and warm clinician who enjoys bringing humor and creativity to every session. In our work together, we may utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or Solutions-Focused techniques to explore coping skills, stress management, and mindfulness practices.
I have experience working with adults with co-occurring disorders, anxiety, trauma, and adults experiencing transitions in life. I am a perinatal mental health trained provider, and love working with college students, young adults, and new parents.
In the words of the great Vanilla Ice, I can’t wait to “Stop, collaborate and listen”, with you on your therapy journey.
Mareisa is in-network with most Aetna, Husky, Cigna, and Anthem plans. She offers individual therapy both in-person at the South Windsor office and via telehealth.
